Not having lived in Tacoma, we chose to live here (close to PLU). These apartments are so deceiving. At first glance they may "seem" nice and worth the money but once you get to know the neighborhood - you'll know this is not a safe or desirable place to live. The kids are violent and rude. The parents are not much better. There are drugs, gunshots, kids shooting each other with BB guns, older kids beating up younger kids. The middle school (Ford) has a below average curriculum which leaves the kids lacking in a good education. The apartments are not size-worthy. The kids run wild, block the parking lot, block you from entering your own apartments and the management does nothing. There is a security guard but he doesn't bother to keep the apartments safe he is too busy hanging out with people on their stoops. The ammenities are only available during business hours (when most people should be at work) which leaves those of us who do work or go to school no opportunity to enjoy or utilize them. The trash is always overflowing - it's disgusting. Maintenence is moderately adequate at best. And even the post office closest to here is slow, loses mail, can't be bothered to bring packages to the door but rather just leaves "notes" in your box so you have to go pick them up. Overall, there is nothing I can honestly find to recommend these apartments (or a 5 block radius) to anyone.
