I lived in this complex with my ex for about 6 months. Unfortunately, we broke up, he moved out and I got a roommate from a roommate finder website. (BAD IDEA) She was crazy, and I ended up moving out 2 months early and still paying my half of rent. They wouldn't take me off the lease until the end of the lease period. Apparently, my roommate turned in the move out slip one day late, and they threatened to charge us another month's worth of rent. I had spoken to the manager of the complex to resolve this issue, who was very sympathetic and told me she knew my side and that I would be completely cleared off of any problems and charges my roommate had occured. (i had signed the slip, and dated it for a few days earlier and because of the crazy roommate situation, she wouldn't let me in the apartment after i moved so i couldn't drop it off). The manager continuously called me to work things out but when my roommate moved out she disappeared. When I received a bill for over 2 grand of charges (deposit taken away, one month rent, fee for moving out early) I couldn't get a hold of anybody. Nobody would talk to me to resolve this and 6 months later they sent me to collections. They then said it wasn't their problem. If they would have resolved their issues with me, since my roommate disappeared as well, it would have been paid up front. Beware of your moving out costs and getting your deposit back. Communication is sour. I would recommend it only for the fact that it's quiet and easy to access.
