Don't live here. Just don't do it.

I don't even know where to start about with this place. The only reason that I'm still living here is because I got one of the better apartments, and I haven't found a place to move to yet. The only reason I was able to get this one was because after calling James (the manager) a bunch of times about moving to the top floor and having him ignore me, I called him from a friends phone and pretended to be someone who didn't live here. When he met me out in front of the building for the viewing, I could tell that he was surprised to see me standing there. Anyway, on to the review. Pretty much the whole building smells like urine and garbage. The manager doesn't clean any of the apartments before people move into them. When I moved into my first apartment there was dust/dirt everywhere, and there were vines growing through the windows. Then when I moved upstairs, after giving him the week he said he needed to clean it, I came in and found saw dust all over the floor, sponges and bleach bottles in the kitchen and bathroom, tools and extra door knobs sitting on a shelf, mold and grime in the shower/bathroom, and pretty much anything else you could think of. James (the manager) also likes to yell at you and treat you like you're a child. I came home one day about 8 months ago and realized that I forgot my key to the front door. So, since I saw him in his office (which is right next to the front door), I called him and asked him to buzz me in. First, he started chewing me out over the phone. Then, when I was inside he came storming out of his office and started yelling at me about how I always am losing my key card (I've forgotten it in my apartment three times in 18 months), and how he was going to start charging me for this (which isn't allowed according the to rental agreement). I still can't believe that he did that.

The fact that the building is old and kind of falling apart doesn't really bother, it's the manager that makes this a place that you don't want to live in.
