In the beginning Westmall seemed like a nice place to live, the staff was friendly in the beginning. Once we moved in the staff became very rude and unhelpful. The day I moved in my storage door was broken, it wasn t until 2 service requests and a month later that it was partially fixed (still had issues with it). Upon move out after being there for 6 months I did my walk through with the lady in the office, she said to me "wow it looks really great in here; well you guys were only in here for 6 months right?" I said yes, and she it looked great "oh yah I have to check the blinds" I said "ya we cleaned those as well. She ran her hand down them and agreed with me that they looked great. (I am telling you this place was extremely clean, my roommate and I spend hours cleaning this place up, and we are very clean people to start with.) Later I receive a bill for charges that somehow added up exactly to my security deposit. Well that was money out the door, $50 for touch up paint (which is understandable), 100 for cleaning (what in the heck was the point of them giving me a checklist of things that needed to be cleaned and me and my roommate spending hours cleaning to be charged?), 150 for blind cleaning (are you kidding me?!!), 100 for ceiling cleaning (WOW, i work at an apartment community and I kid you not this charge does not even exist!!!!) I mean seriously this was so outrageous! When I did my walk through the lady said to me "oh wow it looks really great it here, you weren t here for that long right?" Nope only 6 months. She specifically went and looked at the blinds to ensure that they had been cleaned. She said they looked good. My suggestions, when you move in and move out take pictures of EVERYTHING otherwise they are going to try and charge you for it. I am not joking, take pictures of the walls, the ceiling, also take photos with an actual camera because digital sometimes does not stand in court!) Also, make sure you have paperwork signed and don t leave the office until they show you in writing how much they are going to try and charge you for, otherwise I can assure you, you will be sorry in the end. Managment is very rude and have no customer service skills. One day when I went in there, the employees were gossiping about a resident that they were having problems with. This was very unprofessional and inappropriate. Also, upon move out I paid my last months rent and utilities I ended up having a refund of $322 dollars back for the extra rent paid, its been 6 months later 2 messages left on their machine and I still have no received my money back, nor have I received a phone call back..(UPDATE: After getting corporate e-mail and letting them know they owe me money I got my check, given it was almost a year later!) I honestly do not suggest this place solely due to management, the apartment itself was great, they are nice looking apartments, and I enjoyed my stay in the apartment. During winter months however, don t plan on driving up the hill, I had to walk for a good two weeks up the hill in the snow. I hope this helps! This I understand is not managements fault, however it is something to be aware of. The cemetery next door was not noticeable most of the time; it is pretty well blocked off.

I agree! The manager is a pain in the butt. During summer months she will poke her head out of her window (she lives above the pool and above the office) and yell at people in the pool area. The gym equipment never works. Parking at night is horrible because people can't seem to park in only one spot. Winter is the worst. Last year our car got stuck in the snow up on one of the hills and only after watching my fall and bust my face on the back of the car did anybody decide to help. People are constantly getting drunk and screaming at eachother in the parking lot late at night. AND, it is a horrible area to live in in general, lots of crime and bad schools. What more can I say?? Don't do it!!

Yes she does live above the clubhouse. We had our issues with that also. She yelled at us also. The gum equipment is lousy at best! Parking is terrible, many nights after work I would come home to no parking on the top of the hill and have to walk up in the dark. The snow is another huge issue. I really enjoyed me actual apartemnt, it had lots of space for a one bedroom, it had planty of storage closets and it was very good at holding heat. However, the management was terrible. If you do live here take picture of everything before and after you move out, make sure they are not digital because digital does not stand in court, because trust me I am sure these people will try and get you for every dollar possible. Also DO NOT BELIEVE anything unless it is in writing. Please I beg you, do not leave the office on a move out unless you know exactly what charges you will be recieving, why you are recieving them, and sign something saying that they will not tack on additional charges after you leave. If your apartment is in great shape expect a standard carpet clean, touch up paint, and apartment cleaning. Be careful!!!
