The apartment is nice, the maintenence comes right away if your toilet breaks and the in unit washers and dryers are hard to come by, but unless you NEED an in unit W/D you're paying a lot to not have any amenities.
I've complained to the leasing office seven times about hauling my little kids to the pool only to find it is so green you can't see the bottom. My daughter gets so dissapointed I stopped going. It has not been clean since I've been here. I've been here 11 months. They fish through it so no bugs or debris are actually floating, but it's obviously not appropriatly filtered. I'm actually speaking of the indoor pool AND hot tub. They're both also usually broken. The office lies to you. When I've gone in they have feigned concern and actually gotton on their walkie talkies and said it'd be clean within hours. This has been going on for 11 months. Some people still swim in it, but at the risk of skin and urinary infections they must not associate with an overload of chlorine and an onslought of mold.
There is one dumpster, about 1/2 to 3/4 a mile from me, so I have to drive my icky garbage, and because they're to cheap to get another dumpster or even have trash picked up more than once a week, they have a trash compacter so you have to squeeze a handel coated in garbage juice twice.
Come on in. See for yourself, but before you sign anything, look deep into the pools. Check if you can see the bottom step of the ladder. Look at the fountain. Ignore what they say about how they were just about to clean it and assume the thickness of the slime totally coating it can't have been cleaned more recently than a year.
Come on over. See for yourself, but before you sign anything, look closely at the four playgrounds. Notice anything dangerous' Nails sticking strait up' Missing bords' Various ways for a child to injure himself easily' Yeah, it's always like that.
If you don't care about the pools or playgrounds, smelly sauna or usually broken tanning beds and fitness equipment, then decide if the apartment itself is worth two hundred dollars a month more than one without any amenities. If you think it is, by all means, move in. Just keep your kids out of the pool and away from the playgrounds. Also if you see broken glass all over the playgrounds, know that the staff has been 'on top of it' for some time now.
