The staff at Westridge is very friendly. Then once you sign the lease, they blow you off. Each apartment is assigned one spot. This is fine if you live alone, but that second car is a nightmare to park after 3:30pm. The office staff promises that they will tow someone's car if they park in your spot. When (not IF) it happens, the staff will tell you to leave a note on the car, and "if it's a continuing problem", they will tow the car. This really helps when you've got a car full of groceries and you have to walk 200yds uphill from the nearest open spot. If the office is closed, you're out of luck entirely.
Every month or two you'll get a notice that one of the other apartments was robbed, but they won't do anything special about it, or increase security. You have one lock on your door, that's it.
Maintenance is shoddy at best, and usually takes two or three complaints to get the job done. I had to pull caulking out of our shower drain to keep it from clogging all the time. The last guy to seal the shower just tried to wash all the drips down the drain, leaving a huge blockage. Calls to the office left me with "use Draino". I had to fix it myself by pulling out the tub stopper and ripping out the caulking. We also had to call three times to have our electrical outlets fixed - the plug would fall out of the wall socket. The first call was ignored, the second time the guy came and tested the socket, found they had power to them, and left. Finally the third call, involving a hefty amount of sarcasm on my part, got the guy to come back and replace the sockets so the plugs would stay plugged in.
Walls and floors are paper thin, and you can hear all your neighbors' televisions.
You have to pay extra for the dumpsters as it's not included with the rent, but you can't opt NOT to use the dumpster. There are only two, usually overflowing.
There is usually someone driving through the parking lot at 2am with their sub woofer at max level. Complaints go unanswered.
You will randomly get "Overdue" notices for $20, despite paying your entire bill every month, and they won't tell you what the extra money is for unless you are extremely lucky and catch their finance person in the office. Nobody else can access the billing, but they are all too happy to take the money from you.
We answered a survey from Equity Residential (who owns Westridge) with the same problems, and a few days later the manager of Westridge called to "discuss" the problems. We've mentioned these several times to the office staff, so I don't know what she wanted to discuss again.
Finally, keep in mind that you can threaten to move out. They won't care, since they'll have your apartment rented to another sucker within two months. There are ALWAYS moving vans in the parking lot, from people coming and going. Shiny veneer over shoddy apartments.

Sounds pretty accurate to me. Our bathtub was clogging like mad when we lived there. Wonder if it was the same problem. You left out though that the dumpsters not only are overflowing, but are 2 city blocks from most apartments. Also, besides the sub woofers going full blast at 2am, there are numerous other things adding to the noise level: constant parties and fighting in the lot, car alarms going of every 15 minutes. Oh, and the area is racoon infested like mad.

omg we have ALL the same problems you have...do you live in the same building as us?? lol ppl are always blasting their dam music at all crazy hours of the night. and we had the EXACT same issue with our bathtub..."use drano" well i poured a whole dam bottle of F***ing drano down the dam pipe and it did absolutely nothing. It took them weeks to send a guy up and finally unclog it. and now our sink is getting backed up too. no point in calling, they won't fix it. thank GOD we are moving. and the dumpsters are a pain in the ass. and some ass holes car alarm goes off EVERY single night at 1 am for five minutes straight. ARGH!
