Crime is bad, and if you must rent, rent the NEWER units!

I lived in Pyramid Pointe for about 1 1/2 years and all I say that is positive about the place was that the management was satisfactory and service was nice. The view was decent, however, it stops there. The older units need a major "face lift." The rent is too pricy even with a good management team. The last straw was the escalating rent at every renewal lease term.
1) The worst thing about the place was the crime. My car was robbed. My brother's car was scratched and windows broken. My neighbor had her old car stolen in mid-day on a Sunday. Management did nothing until my neighbor stepped up and had them write a letter to give to every resident concerning the crime. I still did not feel any safer.
2) Peeling walls, water damage, little insulation, dingy carpet, and uneven flooring made living there unbearable the more you stayed. Though covered with a fresh new coat of paint, by the end of a one year lease the cosmetic fixes were slowing showing its true colors.
3) Spider infestation, especially living on the ground floor!
4) The plumbing system was also very bad. Hot water kept running out, there would be funny bubbling (yes bubbling) noises in the toilet, and the garbage disposal would regurgitate.
5) Parking was scarce even with one allotted parking space this did not prevent people from taking it.
In short, if you really want or must live there, rent the newer units.
