Don't waste your money!!!

I don't know where to begin... This apartment complex sucks!!! I lived there for about 6 months before I got a job transfer and it was horrible. Like one of the other raters I too had a terrible smell coming from the old ratty shabby carpets and when I went to tell the manager (Galina) about it she acted like I was crazy. I told her that I tried to shampoo the carpets to get the smell out which seemed to have made the smell worst by the way and she told me the carpets were already shampooed before I moved in. I told her that I think the old urine from past tenants pets must be what I was smelling and she assured me that it was impossible, I told her that I wanted to take the carpet up and replace the foam and she was ok with that so long as I was footing he bill. She also promised to come right over to see what I was talking about and that never happened.
My washer was broken and over flowed and though the maintenance guy was prompt on checking the washer out he told me that it was fine and was a bit annoyed. My washer over flowed twice after that and each time it was "fine" they merely vacuumed up the area as the washer and dryer are in your bedroom on CARPET!!! Not too long after the 2nd overflowing I started noticing a musty smell in my bedroom, not too long after that I started feeling ill every time I was in the bedroom for a long period of time; luckily I was in the process of moving out when I went into the Laundry closet and noticed mold all over one of my bags!!! God only knows what's residing under the carpets. I told the manager about this so lets hope they take care of it.
The walls are very thin and on any given night you can here your neighbors doing the do whether in the house or out walking your pet as were my many experiences.. not good if you have small children... at night it was a battle to try to fall asleep before my next door neighbor because you could here the snoring as if she was in the same room!!!
The parking spaces are very tight so if you don't want your car dinged splurge and rent the carport.
They have a security gate that when I moved in at the end of May was supposed to be locked starting in June... well it's December and it is still wide open, they even we nt through the process of giving me a "gate code".. false hope of a locking gate. I wouldn't care so much but speaking to another tenant as they were moving I found out that their apt was broken in twice and his pregnant wifes underwear was found in the yard. When they approached Galina to move she tried to give them a hard time and told them that she had already changed the locks (which was again broken into) and did not think his wifes underwear being found outside was a big deal!!!! insane
The new manager's assistant is a dumb ass and not helpful at all!! Her answer to everything is " can I have your number, I will have Galina call you" her English is horrible.. she is useless!!!
Overall the entire complex needs an overhaul I stated noticing mold in the bathroom but I had one foot out the door so I did not sweat it! My move out inspection was 10 seconds and with all the flaws in this apt she had the nerves to tell me about a dusty window sill!!! I told her she can keep my deposit because I was too through with the apt and her, and that seemed to make her day, as she seems to be very money hungry.
The only good things about Park Place are that the grounds are nice with all the fruit trees and my apt kept very cool during the summer months, people tend to mind their own business and the overall neighborhood noise (people hanging out outside, etc.) is not much, (but very loud in the apt). But if you can avoid it do NOT move here!!!!
