It's hard to know where to begin since I have had so many problems while living here.
In Nov. 2008 I tripped and twisted my ankle while walking my dog in the courtyard at night due to the fact that they had let nearly all the street lamps burn out around that area for several days. Then when I reported to the manager it still took them a week to replace the light bulbs in that area. First week of Dec. 2008 reported that I had goose bumps and no heat in my living on a Saturday morning and was told that I should just turn up my heat to 75 and wait till the next monday since to them it was not an emergency since I had heat in my bedroom. I shouldn't have to beg for heat just because they don't want to page and pay their maintenance staff who don't work weekends unless it's an emergency. Dec. 22, 2008 I had to have two of the maintenance guys attach a rope to the back of my car and then to their truck so they could pull me out of my parking spot after I got stuck since there was about a fotot of snow, slush and ice in the parking lot that had not been cleared. I insisted they clear the parking lot that day but it wasn't done. January 2009 ALL THE POWER WENT OUT IN MY APARTMENT AFTER I PLUGGED IN AND STARTED MY VACUUM CLEANER IN THE LIVING ROOM BECAUSE THE CIRCUIT GOT OVERLOADED AND IT CAUSED A LIGHT BULB TO EXPLODE IN MY KITCHEN. I have had freguent power outages since Dec. 2008 when maintenance said the problem was fixed. All it took one time was plugging in my hair dryer to cause the power to go out in the bathroom and bedroom. Then when I told Galina the apartment manager about it she sent maintenance to fix it and once again the same guy said it was fixed the last time and he then the power increased and I should have plenty of power. Well, I don't my computer and printer frequent go off due to lack of power and I have very few appliances plugged in now. Also, I reguested an elecrician come out within 24 hours they apparently sent someone who works for their company to check it when I wasn't home and I was told by Galina who can't speak or understand english clearly that they couldn't increase the power to my circuit breaker above 15 amps because it's a older building and I could move out if I didn't feel safe. THAT A LIE, IT DOESN'T MATTER THAT THE COMPLEX WAS BUILT IN THE 1960'S THEY STILL HAVE TO BRING IT UP 2009 STANDARDS EVEN IF THAT MEANS REWIRIING THE BUILDING. BUT THEY DON'T WANT TO SPEND THE MONEY TO FUFILL THEIR OBLIGATIION UNDER THE LANDLORD-TENANT ACT. Galina even tried to blame in on me because I had a small portable heater in my bedroom.
