Brentwood looked great before we moved in.
Then we discovered the truth.
1) Mold grows on walls, windows, and in carpet. Nobody will do anything about it. It is supposed to be my duty to clean it with bleach water. It is obvious that the apartments were not built and insulated correctly. And the bathroom exhausts do nothing.
2) Toilets constantly plugged and overflowing. Maintenance will poke a snake down there, but nothing more is ever done.
3) Crime rate is high. We knew one of our neighbors had some stuff stolen. Then we gradually learned that all of our neighbors have had theft problems (big and small). Then of course, we got broken into- over 2K worth of stuff stolen.
4) Being on a bottom floor, our neighbors above us are often loud. We can hear whole conversations from them. That doesn't even go in to how loud it is when they party or do laundry at 2 am.
5) Our paperwork has been messed up in the office several times since we moved in. Either someone forgot that we had reserved this, or they forgot to put something in our name. Very unprofessional.

We just aren't happy with our decision. And now we are stuck here for a while.
Don't make the same decision we did.
