When we first moved in it was exciting - vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, two bathrooms. But after living there for a while Brentwood's faults began to appear.

Our apartment smelled like a musty, dirty motel room no matter what we did to make it smell better. It always smelled like cigarette smoke (from those who smoked below us).

Parking is absolutely terrible. They tell you that they will fine you if you park over the white lines but people did it all the time. Tons of dings on doors and having to crawl over the passenger's seat to get to the driver's seat.

It is noisy ALL the time. The children in this complex have absolutely no supervision and are constantly screaming and throwing things in the pool. The pool is supposed to close at 10pm, but people came all hours of the night screaming and making an absurd amount of noise. Security isn't great either. You call to complain about hooligans and it takes security 45 minutes to arrive!

Car alarms, unmuffled exhausts, and loud obnoxious rap music occurs all the time. This is NOT a quiet community.

Brentwood talks about rules and what you can/cannot have on your porch, but I've seen some pretty crazy stuff on people's porches that in no way could be classified as suitable. Brentwood is the type of place that says one thing and does another. They don't care about their tenants, all they care about is making money.

However, the ONE, and I emphasize ONE, good thing is that maintenance is really nice. I'm surprised they put up with all the crud that goes on, but they seem like very sincere people (unlike management).

Okay, enough complaining ...

As another resident, I must say this review rang true. After moving in I became all-to aware of how the concerns of the management were first money, and then money. Nothing else makes the list of priorities. Also, it is absurd how good the maintenence workers are. They are given little to work with but seem to genuinely do what they can to make these apts as nice as possible.
