My husband and I were sooo excited to move into Brentwood in Jan of 2006. I was concerned, however, when i went to move in and there was mold and mildew on the window frames. We lived there until Dec 31 - a month before our lease was to be up - and broke our lease because of MOLD growing in both corners of the master bedroom and back on the window frames. The parking sucked as well - and don't EVEN think about walking across the grass in front of the D building, you will SINK TO YOUR KNEES! The grass was sooo muddy and mushy. I also had a problem with maintenance one night. My garbage disposal backed up into BOTH of my sinks about halfway full....and it wouldn't drain. I called the on-call maintenance and they said since it wasn't an emergency they were not going to come out. It WAS an emergency - a health issue if nothing else. My mom ended up coming over because they wouldn't.
I wouldn't recommend these apartments unless you have no allergies and are an easy going person to deal with their crap.

Your garbage disposal is not an emergencey, overflowing toliets and broken door locks are emergencies. The management will have mold taken care of if you tell them about it, in fact they told us to tell them if we got mold when we signed our lease. The parking does suck, and what do you expect them to do about the ground water in front of your building?

Old food and items thrown down the disposal backing up into my sinks IS an emergency! They expected me to just leave it there overnight so that it could start stinking and make me sick - DON'T THINK SO! Screw them - my mom came over and we fixed it. As for the mold - upon moving into that complex and THAT particular apartment....there was mold in the living room already that we mentioned to them and they fixed. However, I told them I had very serious allergies and mold was something I just COULD not handle. If mold was going to be an issue - we wouldn't take that apartment. They knew that and had it in writing. No one told US...IF you get mold or WHEN you get mold - let us know and we'll take care of it. Didn't say that I expected them to do anything about the water in front of the building - just stating another ISSUE with that complex. Hmmm - the way you're defending that piece of crap apartment complex....I'd think MAYBE you were on staff there. I will argue with ANYONE that says that's a great place to live. Thank GOD I didn't get pregnant while we lived there - I would've HATED to bring a child into this world while living there and no way in HELL would we have stayed long enough to RAISE our child there.
