Quality Place

I don't like complexes as a rule and I was very reluctant to move here. However, I've been impressed by several things. This place is very quiet on the weekends. Parties are either not happening, or very subdued. I don't work Mondays, so when I'm at home during the day, I find that most of the parking slots are empty, indicating that the people here have jobs to go to. That's a plus in my mind.

We had three problems after we moved in: washer broke, dryer broke, and fridge broke. Two of the three were dealt with the same day: the washer was replaced by a brand new unit (I do mean, BRAND NEW, not just a different one). The fridge was replaced by what I think was a spare that they keep on hand, so they can work on the broken one without disrupting your life any more than necessary (but that's only my assumption). The dryer took a couple of weeks, because it was still functioning, just not very well, so not a priority. It too was replaced by a brand new unit. The range was replaced by a brand new one before we moved in. Attentive maintenance staff overall.

Downstairs neighbors can be heard if they raise their voices. The windows are not that great, but I'm starting to see other units with new windows, so that seems to be getting dealt with (the folks closest to the highway get first dibs, which doesn't bother me). I grew up with a train whistle, so that doesn't bother me, and there's nothing you can do about it; train whistles are meant to be loud for a reason and better windows won't help. The in-ceiling heat does the job, but is inefficient. Some portions of the kitchen counters are in minor states of disrepair, but we haven't said anything, so it hasn't gotten fixed yet.

If you have a dog like I do, this is a great place. There's a very nice looking, and quiet neighborhood behind the complex to walk your dog, and three parks within a five minute walk. The left over dog mess issue waxes and wains like anywhere else that allows pets. I would prefer they empty the dog bag cans more often, though. But at least they provide three places to dispose of your pet's messes around the complex.

The unit itself is nice. I love the size of the deck. We can keep plants on it and still have room for chairs and a table. Have I mentioned the fire place' Love the fire place.

I hope this is a well rounded observation. Overall, I have enjoyed my stay here, and would recommend it to others.
