We moved to Vancouver for 1 year because of work. We chose these apartments because they seemed clean & friendly. The 1st real problem came in the winter when we discovered that 2 of the windows leaked badly. The management responded with "Yeah, we know. They weren't sealed when they were replaced a few years ago. Just put a towel in the windowsill..."
The second problem came with an infestation of ants... lots & lots & lots of little bitty ants. We were told we must be messy & we should clean better... which was ironic since the only place we didn't have them was in the living room where we ate meals & occassionally snacked. They were swarming up the bathroom shower drain & out of the electrical outlets in the second bedroom, which served as an office. We killed them by the hundreds with ant traps & ant spray. The apartment above us had the same problem.
Add to this the fact that everyone is expected to recylce (a good idea) but that there was no room in the apartment to put a kitchen garbage can, let alone a couple so we could sort the recyclables. So every day, we went to the only trash area in the complex to sort/throw out our paper, plastic & glass. No air conditioning. Very inefficient lectric heating. Maintenece was friendly, but wouldn't really do much. The office staff was rude. We did get our full deposit back, but I think it was only because they knew we had taken pictures & were afraid we would cause a legal ruckus if we didn't.
I couldn't reccomend this place...

You are smart you took pictures.I wish I had done that when I moved out.They will end up paying in the end.
