I lived at Forest Glen and had to constantly deal with barking dogs, neighbors playing loud music at all hours. Complained too the managers and got no results. Rent is way to high for what you get, a wall that doesn't even reach the ceiling come on now. The "heated" pool was usually cold and dirty. I was very glad when I moved.

I have lived at Forest Glen for almost two years in two different units. Having been an apartment manager in Minneapolis, I can say without reservation that this management team is the very best I have ever worked with. This includes having lived in San Diego, LA, Minneapolis, Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver. Living in an apartment is always interactive. You give, you take. If the music is loud, ask them to turn it down. If the music continues to stay loud, then by all means, go to the management and let them know what is going on. That doesn't mean that each ---e the manager speaks with the offending tenants that the offending tenants are going to be so moved with remorse that they are going to respect your need for quiet. ----kly, it doesn't matter where you live these days, for crying out loud, the music is loud everywhere.
As for that "wall not reaching the ceiling", Forest Glen was originally a hotel. You knew the wall "did not reach the ceiling" when you moved in, or at least, you should have seen this. Complaining about this now is simply a cheap shot. What my ---- and I did with the space atop that almost-to-ceiling wall is place artificial plants and cornucopia there. Nice effect, as the one-bedroom units are small - hotel architecture again - and house-style living is somewhat restricted. Noise? Doesn't matter where you live. Dogs? Doesn't matter where you live. It's not the fault of the dog that the dog follows his nature and BARKS. Blame the owner. Do something about positive about it.
As for the pool, it was cold because the cost of heating it with natural gas went up by 30%, and rather than raise rents, the pool was closed for the winter. Incidentally, prior to closing the pool, management offered tenants a way to lock in the price of their rental rate by endorsing a new agreement for one year; even had the pool been left open and the increased cost of heating the pool passed on to the tenants, only those who did not endorse the "lock-in" would have seen an increase in their rental rate. At any rate, there hasn't been a rent-rate increase in the nearly two years I have been here. The owner is local, not absentee; the manager works monthly with police and tenants to stay on top of crime reduction andsafety techniques. Did you ever attend one of these on-site monthly safety meetings? There, you would have had a voice directly to the manager; it appears, however, that you simply like to kvetch, an attitude typical of those without the maturity and sophistication to handle apartment living. As far as "not getting what you pay for", you never said why this expectation was not met. Thus, your entire basis for this report carries little weight. I would recommend Forest Glen to anyone looking for an oasis, who has previous apartment living experience under their belt. Management is interactive here, they do listen, and thus, Forest Glen is a lot better place to live than the many other apartments that I have lived in.

response to this response. I have lived her for a year, I was never offered a lockin price to keep the pool open, I have never seen a flyer of any "safety" meeting. It seems like there is always police out here when I arive home from work.

I want to rate the abuse that goes on in the said complex. Landlords and the money scams done to the tenants The perverted men stalking single, pretty tenants, landlord sides with the perverted, Landlord is a liar when it comes to keeping SO/deposits, charging for light bulbs, to tan in tanning bed, use complex computer in day room and use printer and printer paper. Charges for anything that will line the deep pockets of these landlords. Landlord puts notes constantly on tenants doors, falsely accusing incant tenants of some act, without proof of cameras, her proof is the fat, ugly, sad people that have no life, but to cause the well establish people pure trouble!!!!!! Other words; run you off so they can steal the security deposit..... Landlords repeats, behind close door personal conversation,to the old hags residing there, to the courts, to the city of Vancouver, WA. Your business is out there being abused! Landlords are out for , are trouble makers, embrace hostel environment Ole tenants, a ---- & --- (------- and ----) are pure stirrers, trouble makers, where I have been present when the both told the landlord that a long ---e tenant (who is cute, tiny.... by the way~) said tenant~ is a . NOT TRUE!!!!!!
