My girlfriend and I had been looking for an apartment at around 550 a month. Looking at that price range most of the places are garbage around vancouver. If you think that Forrest Glenn is bad you should see some of the other complexes around Vancouver at that price range.

1. I have never seen the door propped open. Not even once have I seen someone in the complex who didn't directly go to an apartment. The person who keeps saying that is a complete and utter moron.
2. Many people writing these reviews are not undercover staff. I am a student that is majoring in Chemical Engineering, and im pretty sure im not UN educated. However, im pretty sure if your on SSI and need some place to go, that this is a very good place to be.
3. I am not in the slightest bit understanding where people are getting these noise complaints from. It's so quiet in these places at times I can't even think.
4. My apartment has brand new appliances, brand new carpets, brand new paint, including a very stylish offset red color to the white. The fluorescent lighting cuts the electric bill in hald and the kwh useage of the freezer is insanely low.
5. This is the pacific northwest, these apartments are built on a hill. The mold complaints in these apartments are completely unfounded and stupid. If you are a CLEAN person and open up your apartment to air and turn on the heat there will be no mold. However, I challenge you to go anywhere in the pacific northwest and leave everything shut and off for an entire winter, I can tell you right now you will get an amazing amount of mold.
6. The maintenance in this place is very good, the two guys are very funny and very nice. Anytime you sign a paper for a repair they ask if its ok for them to come in when you are not home!
7. The layout of these little apartments are very different and very unique, and I love it. Its' small clean and easy to keep up. It's a perfect starting place for a young couple and or students. If you are complaining about this place and you are over the age of 25 you have issues to attend to because chances are you don't have a job and or have been evicted and have no room to complain. My advice to you' Go back to school.

Finally, for those of you who have complained...it makes zero sense to me that you signed a LEASE if you thought these apartments were so terrible. You came inside and walked around and saw the building is maintained and the actual apartments are gorgeous. Which leads me to believe you did something to get kicked out. For those who complain about the charges for the tanning bed or the computer in the media room' If its just as cheap as getting your own internet...go get your own internet and shut up. There is a free tv in that room with cable, and not to mention its a whole dollar for a ten minute tan. Yes there are less than reputable people living here, but its a cheap place to live! The rent is low...who do you think is going to be attracted to low rent apartments' People with jobs' No...people who are starting out or have some issue with being in an upper class neighborhood. I can tell you from experience, this place is not bad at all.
