I am very happy at Maple Ridge. Been there for a year, the staff is friendly. The floorplan for the 1 bedroom is great and it's a small community so you don't have to worry about having all sorts of weirdos in the complex. The bedroom is huge, and the kitchen is open to the living area, which is nice. Decent sized bathroom. Only complaints: rent has gone up 2 times in one year, and it sounds like elephants are walking around above me.

I do agree that the floorplan is nice and the bedroom is huge and the AC is GREAT. I also agree with your complaint about the rents always going up. You'd think they'd want to keep good tenants who pay on time and aren't trouble makers by not raising the rent every time you turn around. But no. Insulation is horrible and groundskeeping is not good.
