If you're in the military beware.... My boyfriend and I put in an application and a $400 holding fee for an apartment. The application fee is not refundable we all know that which is understandable. So anyways my boyfriend is in the Army and is getting deployed this month so we are not able obviously to move in to these apartments so I inform the manager of the apartments about this and she goes off telling me they need orders in front of them or they are not giving us the $400 dollars back so we called his commander who then called the manager stating we cannot give them orders (they are confidential) and they are still fighting us. I finalyl had to call his commander and have him write them a freaking email after he had already called them and told them about the deployment. Anyway its bull crap and these apartments are not that nice to be putting a $400 dollar holding fee down. Its good to know our soldiers get screwed by money sucking people like these apartment employees!

Wow... I understand you're upset about such a huge sudden change. I would be *super* upset to know my BF was being deployed and my plans were getting all thrown up in the air. But you've got to understand their side too... they run a business, and if they need XY and Z before they'll give you you're money back, then give it to them and get your money back! They aren't asking for your firstborn, they're asking for proof you aren't giving them the shaft.
