My husband and I moved in here thinking that this would be a great place to live right between Vancouver and Battle Ground. Upon move in the places are nice and the office staff SEEM professional. But we have been living here close to 5 months now, and things are constantly breaking, scratching etc. The appliances (though they look expensive and beautiful) are cheap. The showers are inhumanly narrow with no lip for stepping (to shave ones legs for example) doors and cupboards smack each other when opened, the layout of the front room is ridiculous and putting normal sized furniture in there is like fitting together an impossible jigsaw puzzle. The closet space is minimal (especially in the 2nd bedroom of the 2 bedroom) No one can fit any kind of clothes in there because the water heater takes up all the space. You aren't allowed a bunch of different but normal things on your patio such as a normal sized BBQ. The paint on the walls is cheap and chipping off (and supposedly these apartments are brand new (((rolls eyes))) ) The flap beneath the front door that wasn't supposed to be there in the first place but because of a 'booboo' of the contractor cutting the doors to short, allows bug and other fun things inside. AND there is NO AIR CONDITIONING!! So while upon first view, and even the first couple weeks of living here the apartments are nice and livable, the more you try to settle in the more uncomfortable you will become...

Fist of all, your concerns and these things that seem to be making you unhappy with this place, are NORMAL! I have lived in a number of apartments in Vancouver and have had quite a few showers with minimal places to step my leg for shaving. Its an apartment and they are going to buy the basic EVERYTHING. Maybe when you buy your own home you can purchase the big fancy tub and appliances and make sure you have ample room for you to open all your cubbords and not have them touch (who opens all their cubbords at once anyways is beyond me, and I HAVE never lived somewhere where one cubbord didn't touch the other when open, even in my house) As far as your issues with appliances, hopefully you have reposted this to the office staff instead of becoming the cliche resident who just complains but never gives them the chance to fix it. As for the "flap beneath the front door" IT IS CALLED A DOOR SWEEP! Again, I have never lived anywhere that did not have a door sweep at the bottom of the door and you sound like a mere IDIOT for saying it is a contractor boo boo for cutting the doors too short. Contractors dont cut doors. They come premade with the DOOR SWEEP ATTACHED! It sounds like the more YOU try to settle in any apartment or HOUSE, the more you will realise you are looking way to into things.

thetruthaboutapartments, wow! you sound like a jerk! it's funny to me that you would get so worked up at someones review to call them an idiot. you must be one of the staff for the apartments. the person who wrote this review is nothing short of spot on with what was said. they are cheap and of very poor quality. its hard to feel at home when you can hear the people next to you having a simple conversation. Oh and not all door come with door sweeps... A$$!

yellow..... All doors may not have the sweeps but these do. I live here and I like it. I lived in a lot of apartment and everywhere you live your going to hear noise. Even in houses you can hear your neighbors. Move to the country or the woods if you don't want to hear anybody. I do not agree with the fact that the appliances are cheap. Have you guys lived in apartments before? Doesn't sound like it! The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Someone was parked in my spot and the office towed it within an hour. All in all, I am happy. Yes you hear noise. Yes they are smaller. But it's a nice place to live while saving your money to buy a house. I only have to pay my rent and electric.

These apartments are very cheap! Just because they have granite counter tops, does not mean it's top of the line. The Granit used is even the cheapest of granite. When first viewing the apartments and meeting with the office staff, the place seems wonderful however, after living there things start to fall apart very easily. The washer and dryer doors have a difficult time closing, the cupboards have a major design flaw. The carpenter who installed them didn't measure correctly, one door lays on top of one another. I have to agree with the other posts and say that the door sweeps are a bit of a pain. I will admit it is nice to be able to keep air in and out but, it's difficult to open the door. The living room space is very minimal. It makes it extremely hard to have furniture or to even breath in there! The carpet was installed inproperly. There were carpet tacks sticking up when I first move and my child whom was 9 months at the time, kept scratching/hurting herself when crawling. Aside from the quality of the apartment, the office staff is horrid. It's a bunch of snooty, young woman that work there and clearly get jealous of other residents. They are very uncompassionate and no where near understanding of any situation. I have asked several times for simple things to be repaired in my apartment - I've been asking since the day I moved in and after 4 months, it still has not been addressed. Overall, I would never recommend this apartment complex. I keep counting down the days until my lease is up!
