It's an apartment, but worth the money. Very safe area.

I've been a realtor, I've been a leasing agent, I know what's cheap and what isn't. I've been here for 5 months. Living in a 1 bedroom.
Negatives:
*Parking - 1 assigned spot per apt. Very bad ratio of guest/2nd car parking to amount of apartments.
*Living Room Size - I saw it before I moved in, I knew it was small. It doesn't mean it isn't annoying trying to fit furniture in. Can sometimes feel a little claustrophobic.
*Ants- They won't stay away. (On the otherhand, they do go away for a little while after the spray, and the office has been good about being on top of it when I call)
Positive:
*Kitchen- Stainless appliances, nice looking cabinets, nice tile, plenty of cabinet space.
*Bedroom- Good sized room, good amount of closet space (not huge but good amount).
*Bathroom- good size, granite countertop.
*Staff- has been friendly enough everytime I've talked to them.
*Maintenance- they came the next day, and did some small move in fixes like taking some spots out of the carpet.
Overall: Parking could be a pain, I hear my upstairs neighbor sometimes but that's in every apartment. Some things are done a little cheap but no less than most apartments. Overall the $700/mth I pay for a brand new 750 sq ft apt is really worth the money. If I wanted something of a really high quality build with garage parking and no noise, I'd go rent a condo for $1,000 or more per month. The best and worst part of living here has been nothing to do with the apartments but the location. It's the safest place I've ever lived, and I've always lived in safe places. Being that the apartments are a little away from everything plus the gated community. It's really very safe. However, it just feels so far away from everything. It's suprising how much an extra 10-15 min drive can make you feel too secluded from the city itself. Either way, still a very nice place to live.
