there is never a place to park so if your neighbor has five cars and you have one your pretty much out of luck if you want to park anywhere close to your apt. Then if you park in the fire lane which I have to sometimes cus there is no other parking they will threaten to tow your vehicle and take further actions. The rent continues to go up and when you call the corporate office to ask about how to get a parking spot they ignore the call and don't call you back. My daughters car has been broken into twice once her ipod was stolen along with her backpack and the other time her walled and phone so make sure you lock the doors.

Thanks but I'm pretty sure they already know about the five vehicles, I've already said something before. It's not worth the fight i'm just gonna move. Not very good management when the corporate office can't even call you back after calling three times. Thanks for the info on the renters ins. I didn't know that it covered your car too. We come from a small town where we never had to lock anything. My daughter is starting to figure it out that there are thiefs in the bigger cities and they will steal everything if you don't lock your doors.

Most apartment complex's have a limit as to how many vehicles each resident can have, especially complex's that have limited parking. I would look into this, and if it is the case, report the "neighbor" that has the 5 vehicles you speak of. Get vehicle descriptions and plate #'s that way it makes it easier for them to address the 5 vehicles with the neighbor in violation.
Do you have renters insurance? Most renters insurance will cover items stolen from your vehicle while parked at your place of residency. Renters insurance is important to have for many reasons other than this, and is farily inexpensive.
But... who doesn't lock their car doors? Especially in an apartment complex and ESPECIALLY when they have items of value inside!

Often I drive through the complex and see cars parked in the fire lanes when there are parking spots a bit away, say a few hundred feet. The problem here is that folks are too lazy to walk to their front doors. If you want to pull up to your place and walk 10 feet, buy a house. I always see open spots, and still, people are parked in the fire lanes.
Also, why on earth would you leave your car open with an iPod, backpack and wallet in it, much less visible. Not that this justifies having your things stolen, but that is asking for it.
