Served its purpose, Management Cruel

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
My elderly and disabled mom was one of the first tenants, I was intimately involved as her POA.
We looked at the model and were very excited, as mom's only income was her SS retirement and was within minutes of both my home and work. She applied and was approved for a "50%" handicap apartment. She was approved then the pressure started on paying the deposits. In the end they had all of the deposits including the pet fee 2 full months before she moved in. At the last minute there was a problem...they had slotted her into a "60%" apartment so they offered her a 2nd floor unit. When I pointed out she was handicapped they "fixed it" and got her back on the ground floor. We were assured it was a handicap unit but found move in it was not, management promised grab bars but in 6 months they were never installed. There was not even a disabled parking space near her unit.
A month after move in we were told all parking was assigned but since she didn't drive or own a car she didn't get a parking space, they would not give her a space despite the fact I was at her home for 4-12 hours per day caring for her.
She was NOT allowed to tape or otherwise post the "Oxygen in Use" sign on her front door AS REQUIRED BY LAW. And YES, they knew she was on oxygen.
They rented to my mom knowing FULL well she was terminally ill and would not survive the lease. Mom passed away on the last day of the month after being there 5 months. I thought I was doing a good thing when I paid the next months rent out of my own pocket and gave notice to vacate. The next day the calls started asking when we would have it cleared out because they had a tenant, keep in mind, the rent was paid thru the last day of the month.
Moms meager belonging took exactly 4 pick up loads and the unit was emptied by the 6th. I made a point of driving by the unit, I SAW a U-Haul being unloaded into the unit on the 15th. On the 22nd my mom's estate got a bill for SEVEN months of rent for her "breaking" the lease, none of her deposits were credited and they were actually paid SIX months rent. They got their asses laughed out of Probate court.
Other problems:
*My mom paid the pet fee along with her 1st months rent and all deposits 2 months before the move in. Her pet was hit by a car a week before move in. They refused to credit the fee and told her to get another pet.
*The color painted "intrest" walls exist only in the models.
*Her unit was infested with ants.
*Her unit did NOT have outside storage as the space housed the sprinkler system, she was NOT given any discount for the loss of space (the "plan" the are STILL using shows it as tenant storage").
*I had to drive or walk her trash around the complex to get to it the compactor that sat 100 ft from her unit because there were no sidewalks to it from her building.
