this place looked great when we took the tour. i was excited about the features such as pool, theater and tanning. the day we moved in i wished i hadnt. we hadnt been our apt for 5 minutes and the neighbor below pounded on his ceiling with a broom. lovely! Our neighbors were the neighbors from hell! playing booming music till the wee hours of the morning. nighthawk did us no good. management didnt care..they just asked us to get along and deal with the noise. Our neighbors above are nice but we can hear them walking.(these floors creak badly!) They also liked to do laundry at 4 am which sounded like niagra falls in our apartment. My son is very noise sensitive and doesnt sleep well here. We have been here almost a year and havent had a good nights sleep yet. The traffic from andreson is awful. gotta love that the fire dept is just down the road and you here that noise several times a day and night. Our van has been vandilized a few times. The kids run all over at night and hide when nighthawk gets here. There is always trash in the parking lot. Dog crap on the grass.Dont even think of walking on the grass. you will step in crap. The pool is too crowded in the summer, not to mention very dirty. The spa is so disgusting and closed often due to someone puking, pooping or who knows what in it. Thier summer party they had was a total joke. Hot dogs with ketchup and mustard. No drinks( oh wait..i think there was some pathetic drink in a cooler) or potato salad or anything. ive been to apartment parties that were awesome and expected that from here. Major disappointment.
The management is nice to us. I havent had a big problem with them except for that they cant help you with neighbor problems.
we now have new neighbors below us and they are worse than the ones we had before! we had to move our bedroom out of the main room and into one of the smaller ones because they play music so loud it would be impossible to sleep in there. Thank goodness we have a 4 bedroom and had the extra room to go to. I can hear thier kids screaming at night. i have 4 children and my kids go to bed at a reasonable time and do not make noise at night. thier kids are up all night screaming. The parents here dont care about thier children. They play in the streets till beyond midnight. This place is not well built when you can hear so much noise.
We have two more months left here and i cannot wait to get out of here! Reading about the troubles people have had to get thier deposit has me worried. I paid 850.00..i sure hope i can get it back. Parking is a complete joke. dont buy a carport..other people will park in it and by the time towing comes they will be gone anyhow. I could go on forever about this place. Take my word, look elsewhere..its not all that cheap if you look at what you have to live with.

Your experiences with neighbors are pretty similar to what we found with ours during our two years at Springfield Meadows. Several of the families had lots of kids and very little adult supervision. Many times, even when there was an adult around, it made little difference on the children's behavior. We were in a middle unit and one of our upstairs nieghbors was horrendous. She was gone ALL THE TIME and would leave her 4 young children home alone until the early AM hours. These children ranged in age from 2 to 10 and would sometimes be alone until after the bars closed. One evening, about 11 PM, I heard was sounded like someone jumping off of a sofa onto their floor, (my ceiling). This wasn't an uncommon occurance, but didn't usually happen this late at night on a weekday. Suddenly, I heard a child screaming and crying. I have three kids and can tell when a child is crying becasue they're hurt and crying because they're being a brat. Someone was hurt upstairs. I went up to see if everything was all right and they wouldn't open the door. Not that I blame them. Without a parent at home, they shouldn't open their door to anyone. As the screaming went on for about 20-30 minutes, I became VERY concerned. When kids are hurt, they usually quiet down after a fairly short amount of time...they don't tend to wail for a half an hour. I finally called 911 because I thought someone was seriously injured. Imagine my surprise when I was visited by someone from the office the next week telling me that I "had no right" to call 911 during this incident, that I should have just talked with the mom. He was a little taken aback when I told him that the mom wasn't there and that we'd tried to see if the kids were all right. He was also a bit miffed when I told him that I had EVERY right to call 911, if and when the need arises and that by attempting to thwart the notification of authorities to illegal actions and/or dangerous situations for children, that he was treading very close to illegal actions himself. Another time, we arrived home after working all day and found two boys, (I'd guess about 6 and 13), urinating off of their balcony. Their apartment was a parking-lot facing unit and FULL VIEW of the office. This was the same unit that we contacted the Clark County Sheriff's office to have a premise report done for. Within the first 45 days they'd lived next to us, they'd had the police at their unit 32 times. Of those 32 visits, 12 times someone was arrested from their home. The management office finally evicted these residents about 6 months after I took the premise report to the office and threatened to break our lease if the situation wasn't resolved. We had a couple of fantastic neighbors in our building, but by far, the stinkers outnumbered the decent families. The VAST majority of the families we saw had absent or ineffective parents. Children were allowed to behave in anyway they saw fit, roam the parking lots at all hours, and act like mini-barbarians. |
