Cons:
I was going to live at The Glen. I reneted it sight unseen from the internet. When I got to the complex I found out I had no carport for my car, so my car would have to be out in the rain.
Also there is a VERY narrow stair case, so you better really think about it before you sign. You might not get your furniture up thoses stairs.
The inside of the appartment was very old and outdated. I just felt like I was living in a low income appartment and I didn't like that feeling.
There was allot of kids always running around, so it could get louid.
They rent to section 8, so be prepaired for some unknowns that go along with that.
I called the police station to ask them about the area and the officer told me that he wouldn't live in that part of town. He said there is allot of drugs. So that told me it must not be a very good part of Vancouver. I am glad I moved away.
Pros:
Big complex with choices.
Low rents (but not so good area)
Next to a nice wooded walking trail that is very beautiful, peaceful.
Alternative:
If you want a very good place to live, go to the Salmon Creek area of Vancouver. Around where the I5 and I205 cross. Be aware because Hazel Dell area is around there too and that's not a good area at all.
Some of the appartments in Salmon Creek are turning into condos. Even still you can get a nice place in a nice area at a good rent.
Help keep this rating site going strong by doing your part too. Review your appartment after you move out! It helps others!
Good Luck!
