parking is a nighmare. The park is creepy and filled with homeless people and street kids they ask you for money, not to mention the bus stop is like right by the enterance bring very shady charaters in colse range. During very late hours of the night or early morning you can hear the people walking in the halls and being very loud. Also the windows are not sound proof I was woke severl times late night because of kids skate boarding in the park and loud people on the street and by the every very loud train that goes by every hour or more and the horn is sooo loud it was VERY bad and drove me nuts!!! One time someone puked in the hall it sunk up the whole place and was not cleaned up for some time. The girl who works there is very hard to listen to and look at, one would think they would have a more professional person to represent the building plus I think they are rasist and age-ist. Also their dog poicly....there is a pitbull in the building''' it tried to attack my dog twice and dog poop all over the side walk and entry and people would let their dogs run loose inside the building and outside. When people cook you can smell their "food" in the halls. The carpet was stained and had holes in it!! they didnt even bother to change it and there was a odd smell inside. I got locked out severl times even after they "fixed" my lock it just would not turn. When i moved in the place was not clean i had to clean the stove and dishwasher walls ect..Really it is not that nice to spend that money and listen to all the nosie every night!!!!

I don't know what this person is talking about. It's almost as if he's been living in another apartment complex. Some of what he says is true, but most of it I've never even heard about and I've been living here for almost 2 years now and I haven't experienced any of it.
Parking isn't a nightmare unless you park in the public parking spaces. The public parking spaces occasionally fill up when there is a festival going on or a convention going on. Parking on the apartment's secure parking level (P3) is never a nightmare and has a ton of spaces, not to mention that it's only about $20 more expensive and you can have the peace of mind that your car is secure.
The park isn't creepy, in fact the park is really great in the summer and filled with people walking through. It can get loud during festivals, which occur a block away in the warmer seasons. Yes, you will find the homeless in the park but I wouldn't declare any of them as shady. Most of the ones I've talked to were very nice.
The bus station moved across town, and when it was there it served as a great means of transportation for those who don't have a car.
If you're worried about sound, I've never heard my neighbors and the noise from outside is very minimal. Goodluck finding a sound proof apartment anywhere. (There is a train station nearby and you can hear that when the horn goes off)
The staff is great, they know everyone on a first name basis and are very polite and work with you. I've never heard of them being racist or "age-ist".
The building itself is sound, solid, and clean. I'm always seeing them cleaning the floors, walls, glass, and elevators.
The only dogs I see running around without a leash are two golden retrievers. Both of which are highly obedient and too old to start any sort of fight. I bring my dog out every day and I've NEVER seen dog poop on the sidewalk (Since the apartment will fine you if your dog goes on the apartment grounds, and the sidewalk to the park can be viewed by the apartment staff).
When I moved into my apartment, it had minimal problems and the problems I reported were fixed the same day.
Overall I've had a great time at Vancouvercenter. I'm really starting to question whether or not this person really lived at Vancouvercenter.
