When I first moved in in 2000, the management was amazing, polite, and receptive. The grounds were kept fairly well, and apartments were in decent condition. However, since the shift in management last fall (2002), the property has degenerated unbelievably. The manager (Jennifer) is rude, unreceptive, and bigoted. She treats families unfairly and with disdain, while giving much more courteous treatment to young (and usually white) potential tenants. She is quick to reprimand parents when children make any noise at all, but ignores complaints against the constant partying and drug dealing of her affluent young tenants. When we have wanted to file complaints, she has refused to release any information about her supervisor; eventhough, she is obligated by law to do so. The mold problem is out of control, and the grounds are heinously kept. The roof of our bathroom is falling apart, and she has yet to respond to the complaints I made over six months ago! I can only hope HUD will investigate soon. Only move here if you absolutely cannot afford to live anywhere else.
