Nice place to live, but....

This is a nice apartment complex. I lived there for two years and never really had any issues with getting things fixed, although it took them 4 tries and a new heater to fix the living room wall heater. The walls are thin though and you can hear everyone who comes up the stairs, I was on the third floor and everytime someone walked by it shook the things on my mantle so badly that I was afraid they were going to fall off. I was disapointed in how they delt with the issue of me getting threatened by a "neighbor" on the first floor. I had watered my plants and they ended up dripping extra water on her patio which caused her to come up and call me names and threaten and yell at me. The apartment manager asked me to water my plants in the bathtub from now on to appease the other tenant. To me that is not a solution. Also they hit you with an "ADMINISTRATIVE" fee that is completely non refundable when you move out so you are responsible for all cleaning charges, if you leave the apartment a mess. The fee is quite high for not getting any back and they don't make it clear that it is non refundable as well as your total pet deposit completely non refundable and you pay pet rent. The first time they raised my rent it was an acceptable raise, totally understandable... but this last time they jacked it up almost 20%, they wanted $130 more a month on a 12 month lease. And to stay anything less than that was a raise of $200-400 more. And you have to pay water sewer garbage and electricity. It is ridiculous. They are pricing about 50% of the tenants out of the complex with this latest rent increase.... If you can afford it, it is an ok place to live but for the price you can find something comparable or better in Kirkland or Bellevue. AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt
