Apartments with character (in the GOOD way!), outstanding location

Very distinctive apartments in a renovated 100 year-old paper mill. Some with terrific views of the Fox River. Lots of factory brick inside walls, high ceilings with large wood beams, and big factory windows--sort of an "industrial chic" feeling to the units.
Location is adjacent to Lawrence University (concerts, plays) and a flight of stairs away from downtown Appleton (restaurants, parades, Performing Arts Center).
Management and maintenance staff has been generally responsive to problems, and are easy to contact.
A couple of downsides to mention: These apartments have a very high WOW! Factor--but they are in a very old structure--there can be some chronic and hard-to-fix problems like roof leaks, etc. Also, a number of them have exposure to a street that can have considerable traffic noise. The Harleys come out in spring!
Overall, we really like the environment and operation here.
