I rented a furnished unit at Parkside as corporate housing for several months. I was very disappointed with my experience.
My rental agreement was completed long distance. Although the lady I worked with semmed very nice she was slow and inefficient. When I checked in, she miscalculated my pro-rated rent for the first month. I was then sent a bill accusing me of underpaying even though I paid the exact amount I was invoiced for.
The unit was very outdated and in disrepair- not what I would expect from a place touting corporate housing. Furnishings were old and worn out, decorations looked like they were from a garage sale. Floors were damaged, furniture was damaged, cabinets were damaged, and whole place was dirty.
Buildings are very poorly constructed. I was on the first floor and heard every footstep by neighbors took and every conversation they had. There is no additional parking for guests.
On several occassions maintenance entered my apartment without giving the notice required by the contract. They made no appointments to accomdate for pets, etc and were a general pain in the ass. They do not have model units to show and will take prospective tenants through your unit while you live there. Expect many interruptions to your life!
Phone calls and email were never returned in a timely manner. Generally unprofessional with poor business acumen. My company will no longer be recommending them for short term housing for our employees.

Wow I have never seen a more inaccurate review. If your rental agreement was done long distance, then all the more reason for you to pay closer attention and ask the questions before you sign the contract! I mean I did and it actually makes sense to do so don't you think? So calling management slow and inefficient may be questionable at best at this point. It is your responsibility to make sure that what you pay is what you actually owe, regardless of who was in error, so you should share the blame on this one. Remember, a bill does not "accuse" it just shows what you owe! Given the fact that the property is over 10 years old, you certainly cannot expect new?! Outdated and in disrepair is a bit much, don't you think. When I toured the property to see if it was what I was looking for, I viewed a corporate unit. Though the furnishings are not what you would see in a local furniture store by today standards, they nonetheless were very nice. Remember this is an apartment complex, so if you live on the first floor, its likely you will hear those living above you walking across the floor at any given time. As for entry without notice, everyone knows that the property has a right to enter if there is an emergency whether its your unit or a connecting one, and regardless of pets. So let me take a moment and say I hope your pain in your ass is better!! As it was explained to me when I sumbitted my application, they post the apartment before entry if they are showing it once they have received your notice to vacate, so I can expect visitors when I give my notice. In addition, its made very clear up front that there is no models to show as well as the available parking allowed on the property! And finally, anytime I or my neighbors have an issue our calls and emails are addressed timely. At the end of the day it appears as though you didn't do your homework!!
