Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008
I lived there for seven years and would have continued to do so, if I did not have to take a new job in another state. Yes, it gets hot in summer (I lived on the 2nd floor). But it is very warm in winter, and heating cost and the cost of gas for the fireplace are included in the rent.
The wonderful thing about the property is the staff. They take care of the property very well. If anything breaks down, they fix it quickly. For a while, I had a string of very noisy neighbors in my building, but the management staff are serious about making sure that no noisy parties are allowed late in the evening. So eventually, those who want to party up well after midnight move out.
When I moved out, I worked very hard to make sure that my apartment is polished up clean. And I got my deposit back. It is very nice to feel that the management people are earnest.
One thing that may be of concern is the location. There is no public bus service near the property, and one needs a car to go anywhere. Bicycling is an option, but only from spring to fall for Wisconsinites. Perhaps in the future, when the gasoline price goes even higher, the local people may vote to extend the bus service to this area.
