Yes it is true, that the apartments themselves are nice. It is convenient that certain bills are paid for and there are washers and dryers in the units. They are only a few years old, so the conditions are not so bad. However, once you have to go through the move-out process, get ready to either argue or take out your wallet! My boyfriend and I moved out of our two bedroom apartment and into two different one bedroom apartments. We did not do the walk-through with the management and found MANY charges for things that were not missing or damaged. The staff in the on-site office has no authority to change any charges they created, so you have to figure out on your own, who their manager is. Then, once you call and undoubtedly leave a message for that manager, it will take a month or more, just for him to get back to you. Then, even when he does get back to you, it cannot be resolved in one phone call, so you have to go another month to verify the changes. I have had nothing but problems with the whole management staff at this facility, and was told on one occassion that I was a low priority, and just recently told that they didnt want to call me back because i was a pain!! Maybe our experience would have been different if we would have been there to 'babysit' them while they were inspecting the apartment when we moved out. HOWEVER, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TOWNE LAKES TO ANYONE I LIKE!
