Managment is TERRIBLE! Biggest complaint I had was MOLD! I threw out a mattress, some childrens clothing and toys. I also threw out adult clothing and shoes! The place is DIRTY! It is NOISY! It IS NOT A Secure Building just because you have to be "buzzed in". People are buzzed in, whether they live there or not. Vehicles are damaged in the parking lot. There are NO Security Camera's and very poor lighting. Rent goes up-Quailty goes DOWN! The BOILER Vibrates LOUD of 3rd and 4th Floor. Washer and Dryers DO NOT always work and to Dry a small load of clothes, be prepared to dry them no less then 4 times! Dog poop is all over the grounds. Even though there is a Dog Size Limit, Management CAN AND DOES WAIVE IT! Management doesn't live on the grounds....so again, be prepared to live with what is "waived". Express concerns or complaints to management and you are soon titled a "trouble maker". PLEASE check with the local police department about people with "records". You might be surprised to see what you find out! It isn't a place to have a young family. And it is difficult to raise teens here because too many are unsupervised and find trouble real fast. The place was the WORST place, I have rented from! What made it worse, was how problems were dealt with. If you want more information, DO NOT ASK MANAGMENT. ASK people who lived there OR who still, (heaven help them) still live there! PLEASE CHECK OUT OTHER rentals in Beaver Dam. Or Go to Private Real Estate Places, they OFTEN have the BEST KEPT rentals and are above super to do business with. MOLD was the last straw for me!

Managment paints a sweet-nice-caring picture atmosphere....RENTER BEWARE!!! I found out the HARD WAY! People told me NOT TO RENT THERE. I didn't listen. I pray you DO!

Horrible at best! That place is not a Safe or a Secure Building, not just from people who don't live there but people who do live there. And worse yet, Management! She makes the rules up, as she goes. And also according to whether you are in her good graces or not. What applies to one renter-doesn't to another. Rules that are to the point of even violating the Freedom of Speech! She DOES NOT want the renters to start talking among each other because IF THEY DO, Stone House the Company who OWNS that place...just might get wise, to her running that place into the ground and also placing risk of Law Suits for improper management and care to the place. OUTSIDE, the parking lot IS NOT SAFE. It is not well lite. Cars are BROKEN into not so much by people who don't live there, but the Teens WHO DO! Trash Bins are over flowing and a really big RAT attraction! Winter time is a nightmare of its own. The parking lot is NOT kept snow removal proper. Ice builds up, people have fallen and HAVE had to have surgery for broken bones or torn muscles. The Walk Way into the place, is seriously UNEVEN from the snow. RAIN, well the place on the First floor floods because a person known to management, filled in the Drain Hole in the entry way with cement! Then covered it with New Carpet. The place HAS MOLD in several units. Management calls it; "stains". Maintance goes along with whatever the manager says, which how his consciencous can be kept clean...is beyond me to understand! The noise alone is a HUGE issue. You CAN HEAR even your neighbors flushing their toilet and of course, EVERYTHING else. Large Dogs are allowed in, according to the Managers Judgement call. Dog waste on the lawns, a problem of walking in and worse yet, for children who go outside to play stepping in-falling in.... Management says "It is a Great Place to Live"....yet, she lives else where! Office hours are posted but good luck trying to catch her in, when listed! Inside it is DIRTY and SMELLY. Her office door got wet on by a dog, immediately a Carpet Cleaner was called in..yet apartment units that were suppose to be cleaned before moved into-have not been done! Not only from animal urine but also HUMAN! Damage is done by the unruley teens who live there to the computer room, halls, walls, broken into cars..... but Management says, "it is the best group of kids, she has had in there." For what you pay to live there...there are FAR BETTER PLACES in BEAVER DAM TO RENT, FOR LESS AND BETTER!!!! You WILL NOT have Peace and Quiet or PEACE OF MIND, while you are living there. Your Safety will be of a concern for you, while there. It is a place, that I personally wished I had prior information about BEFORE moving in there. Because once I was there, within a month all nightmares broke loose and I had to fulfill my lease. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE..when you read these reviews about the Shoe Factory, they are not from people who were just unhappy there or want to settle with management...these reviews are more then true and as said, I hope you don't have to find out the hard way-like so many others who made the mistake of moving there. PLEASE RENT from someplace else! If you have a Family, with smaller children or teens...ESPECIALLY DO NOT RENT THERE. If you have Health Problems, DO NOT RENT THERE. Mold is a serious health issue, besides the so many other things. Don't waste your money or your sanity by renting there! And for those of us WHO DID LIVE THERE..Keep the word out, for maybe at least having someone else not make the same mistake. STAY CLEAR OF THE SHOE FACTORY.
