I lived in the apartments for 2 years... The first year was ok... When it is your first place, you don't know what to expect and any freedom is nice. In that apartment, we had these noisy kids downstairs... They would play wrestlemania and create tons of noise. We had a little yappy dog that would bark when its owners weren't home above us. The apartment buildings state that they have laundry facilities. ha, that's a joke... It costs way too much and the dryers barely work!! The management has been notified but said they work just fine. So then, we moved to another apartment. We could hear the lady above us walk around and hear her open and close her dresser drawers. Talk about knowing what your neighbors are doing. Then, there are a bunch of disgusting, disrespectful, rude, dirty teenagers that run all over the apartment. They have races up and down the stairs...so much that I could hear them in my apartment. They leave trash EVERYWHERE and destroy the computer room. Now..for the grounds. Parking SUCKS... and what stinks even more is the snow removal. I twisted my ankle trying to get to my car because the sidewalks hadn't been cleared yet... Don't stay here... Stay any place but here. It used to be better, but when you have a bunch of low-lifes living together, the place gets trashed.

I probably would mention that East Town Mall is a place that I don't feel comfortable if I ran into the problems that I did at the Shoe Factory. Maybe if people, such as Property Managers, can't do their job, they should find another that isn't so "stressful" I understand that every tenant can't be caught, but for the consequences are posted in the apartments, maybe they should be enforced at least once. I would NEVER recommend the shoe factory apartments... even the management has moved out of them... what does that say about the pride that they take in their work??

Do you live at your place of employment? My guess would be no.

These REVIEWS are VERY-VERY TRUE!!! Renters BEWARE...DO NOT RENT FROM THE SHOE FACTORY APARTMENTS IN BEAVER DAM. Management is HORRIBLE! She makes her own rules up, as she likes and depending on whether she likes you or not. It is the WORST PLACE, I have ever lived! There are SO MANY PEOPLE THERE who are living with MOLD, NOISY NEIGHBORS, DIRT PLACE INSIDE AND OUT. TRASH OVER FLOWING OUTSIDE and OUT OF PROPER BINS. SNOW REMOVAL IS A NIGHTMARE AND A VERY DANGEROUS PARKING LOT. NOT TO MENTION YOUR VEHICLES GET DAMAGED BY KIDS AND BROKEN INTO, WHO LIVE IN THE BUILDING!! There is very little SECURITY or PEACE OF MIND. You can RENT OTHER PLACES in the area, for LESS MONEY and GET PROPER MANAGEMENT CARE! Maintance Man, will go along with ANYTHING that the Manger tells him to do, including being disrespectful to the tentants, just to keep his job and keep on managements good side. It is OUT RAGEOUS and TOTALLY, NOT A PLACE TO CALL HOME!!! PLEASE and I MEAN PLEASE...PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE REVIEWS ABOUT THAT PLACE. It is not a SAFE PLACE TO LIVE, Physcially-Emotionally or Mentally! Renters there NEED to form an "Renters Association" and get the actual company who owns that place STONE HOUSE, to serious pay attention to the complaints before that place is run right into the ground OR BEFORE serious Lawsuits are filed against them.

Eh, I live there and find it to be a very nice place.. If you dont like kids being around you should go hide in a cave because tons of people have kids in the world. I've seen a couple kids around and all are respectful and say hello when walking past. Laundry is like anywhere, if you dont like it do it offsite. My apartment and others have washer and dryer in them. I have 2 vehicles and never have a problem finding a parking space, management tells you when you sign the lease that parking is first come first serve. Reguardless it's not like you're parking a mile away, its really not bad at all. Neither of my vehicles have ever been tampered with. As for noise, It's an apartment.. What do you expect. It is not as easy to hear your neighbors as some have said on this complaint board. Barely ever hear the neighbors. Once in a while sure.. Like I said, they are apartments. Garbage is fine. Gets taken away weekly, recycling bins are available. Cleanliness is good for the most part. They have a lady that does it weekly, cleans and vacumes every floor including the elevator. I dont have a mold problem, Manegement is very nice and does what you ask, very helpful. The best part of the shoe factory is the apartments themselves, unique, spacious, and just a great place to go home to..

Not true at all. How many people that you know now, that live there are really happy there? Most don't say anything because of management. The first floor floods and mold is an issue. I could go on and on, as to why you should not rent there. Some people just have to find out on their own. And some, I hope don't!
