I currently live at Hawk's Ridge. The apartments themselves are actually pretty nice and give a good amount of storage space. The management, however, is another story. First, in the lease they charge everyone for carpet cleaning at move out, which is illegal for normal wear and tear. When we moved in they had actually not even cleaned anything in the apartment since the last tenant, even though they said it would be done. So the man who was here before us paid for all this cleaning, and they just pocketed the money. There is still construction at this complex, so at our lease signing the manager said that the fitness room would be done soon. It is now two months later, we've gotten 5 different dates for opening, and it's still not open. I called a day ago (the last date they gave us for opening) and emailed the manager about this two days ago and she still has not gotten back to me about this issue. I am upset that we signed this lease under the impression that we would get to start using this benefit (that they do advertise, even though it's not open) and two months later they keep pushing the date back. It is ok, though, for the on-site manager's husband to use it. We've also had problems with our neighbors. We have actually called the police on them for loud noise (extremely loud music and screaming) three times since we've been here. The manager said "steps are being taken" but who knows what's actually happening. Pets are allowed at Hawk's Ridge, which is a good benefit since we have a dog, but a lot of pet owners around here do not bother to pick up after their dogs. It is in the lease that picking up waste is required, but obviously the management is not enforcing that. We have also been without running water in the middle of the night twice now. If you are simply looking for a place to store your stuff and sleep, then Hawk's Ridge would be fine. But beware, if you have an issue don't expect the management to actually care.
