I have been living at Hawk's Ridge Apartments for almost a year, and I have to say what a pain in the ASS this place has been. First off be prepared to pay their price for every extra thing you want. By this I mean you are not allowed to have your own cable service, phone service, or internet service. Everything that you recieve is bought from them an their stupid system that barely ever works. If their is a cloud in the sky, or the wind is blowing to hard you will not have tv for however long it takes for the cloud to pass or for the wind to stop blowing. You are not allowed to have the local service which is Charter for this area. They have completly monopolized all of their apartments forcing you to pay their prices, an not allowing what is a U.S. right of business which is competition. What they are doing out here is completly illegal. Don't bother to call an complain because nothing will be done about it, and they wont return your phone calls. Their pool is very small an inadequate for the amount of people that live here. The same goes for their supposed fitness center which has only two threadmills and a 4 more peices of equipment. Wherever they can find a fee to charge you something they will. All they care about is making a buck!!!!!! I am currently looking at the apartments up next door to them (GATEWAY) an they have a much better system cheaper rent plus heat is included which it is not here. They may not have a pool or fitness center, but when their facilities are as small as they are here it really doesn't matter.

Please don't move into Gateway. I just posted a blog about Gateway, that seems similar to the style of management at Hawk's Ridge: I couldn't agree more with unhappyrenter1611. The onsite management was crude and completely unprofessional, the contruction and materials were cheap (we had a leak within two months of moving into the brand new apartment, mold in the bathrooms, porcelain in bathrooms staining, vinyl floor tile ripping, fauset leaking). The entire time we were there we always felt like Premeier Mgmt (company who originally owned property) was only interested in the money, did not care about tenants. We were charged commercial rates for the water meter. One time we were all snowed in b/c mgmt (Kerri Stone) refused to bring plowers in until 6pm because they didn't want to have to pay for plowing twice in one day!! It is built in previously wooded areas so there are a vast number of bugs surrounding the property. The view is not available in all apartments, many see only parking lot. Many of the neighbors came from straight out of the hood, some receiving section 8, are completely ignorant of neighborly etiquette. The white carpetting is a dirt trap. Waaay too much $$ spent in that area for what they offer. Only good thing about it is that your friends and family will think you live in nice home. THIS IS ONE PLACE YOU KNOW LOOKS ARE DECEIVING!! Very easy to find more reasonable accommodations and more humane management than this in surrounding area.
