The apt advertised a sauna - they closed it cuz they don't want to spend the money replacing it. Now, the only people who can swim in the pool are the people who don't have jobs. The pool is closed more than it is open because of the incompetence of the maintenancemen. When it rains or snows, it comes right into the pool. The grounds are attrocious - rude people leaving cigarette butts all over the place. Grass gets 6 inches high before they get it cut. I don't think the windows have been washed on the outside in at least 2 years. It's just getting worse and worse. Too many low income tennants ruining it for the rest. Now just about every apartment has structural/roof damage because of the water leaking into the livingrooms and bedrooms. My walls are orange because of this. They cannot keep managers here - no one knows what's going on. Do yourself a favor and do not even come to look at these apartments. They are horrible! (I'm getting out of here as fast as I can) The parking lot is damaged because they did not plow the snow and ice in a timely manner and now there are holes as deep as some car tires.

The windows have not been washed since at least 2001, I can vouch for that as a resident. I suggested the office put cameras in the pool area to catch the idiots causing the issues instead of punishing us all, the system would be cheaper than the repairs they have to keep doing because of the destructive residents. But I suppose, if you can't afford salt for the walkways, you can't afford a security system.

I agree with everything you have said. I was not an employee back in 2001 so I cannot vouch for that time, but I hope the resident's who were there from 2/08-7/08 can give me a little credit for trying to turn the place around. I could only do what i could with the resources I was given to me. I used my personal contacts to try and get things taken care of and to the best of their abilities that they could provide their services. I made sure the grass was cut ever week and that the trash was picked up on schedule. The ice in the parking lots were out of my control as I had not been there when the snow first fell and was not disposed of properly, but I did make sure that we got the icemelt and salt for the property, one of the things I made a priority when I first got there. The "owners" did get a security system, so to speak, but they never finished hooking it up, and they only put two cameras in the office. Please give the property a chance, it is a wonderful property, when taken care of. There will be changes made in the next few months that I think will make a lot of residents happy and I hope that you can stick around to see it. I have only been gone for a day and I already miss not being there. Thank you to everyone who let me work for them, as best as I could and I will never regret my time at Brook Lane.

Well, I'm sure you will try. But like many others the rent I am paying now is not worth what I had experienced this last year. Lower our rents and maybe we will stay for the improvements. Why should our rent go up and up because someone is not doing their jobs and things get run down and people are stealing and it feels like I'm paying for it.
