I also live at brook lane and it is as bad as they say. I have lived there for almost 5yrs and I am leaving as soon as my lease is up. It use to be a really nice palce to live at one time. But now sense they were bought by new people it has gone down hill so bad. This past year has been nothing but trouble from last summer to lawn not being mowed to this winter to parking lot not being plowed.I would not recommend this place to anyone. (EVER)

This rating is so true. Nothing has improved at this place inthe past few years and now we have roofs leaking and laundry rooms that are filthy. Management has also turned off the air in the lobbies and hallways - it is very difficult to breath when you leave your apartment. It's no wonder that the manager does not live on the property.

I am offended that you would say that about the manager, as I was the one you are talking about. I did not live on site because I have a house of my own. And it wasn't management who turned off the air in the lobbies, it was the "owners" who made us do it. Citing that the a/c units on top of the buildings could colapse into the ceilings because it is so big. We were the ones who turned it on in the first place and when the "owners" came down from Minnesota and realized it was on they made us turn it off. So please place blame where it is due, at the "owners" and not management. We also turned on the music in the lobbies but they made us shut that off as well. All of the bad things that have happened since 10/06 is because of these "owners". I left my position as manager because I refused to do the unethical things they wanted me to do, which was detrimental to all the current residents and certainly not fair to unsuspecting new ones. The gas has repeatedly been threatened to be shut off by WE Energies almost everyday it seems because of them not paying the bills (over160K owed at the time I left). This is not the only bill that is like this. There are lawsuits pending and security deposits not being sent out on time. You think its bad, well take that and times it by a million and you will get to experience what I did every day that I worked there. The staff, other than the one with the long gray hair, are fantastic. Watch out for her as she is the first one to stab you in the back when you leave the office. Maintenance tries like crazy to keep up but you cannot blame them for not fixing stuff that they do not have the supplies for. It was frustrating as the manager to not be able to provide all of my resident with what they should have and deserve. As I have said in my other posts, give the property one more chance, change is coming and it is for the better. I will miss everyone at Brook Lane. Take Care, be safe and good luck.
