Going on my fifth year at this apartment complex, and have been fairly satisfied with everything.

The space is great, lots of room that is laid out well. I like my kitchen; it's open concept is much better than the typical galley kitchen you see in most apartments.

I live in a lower 2-bedroom and love the fact that I am able to let my 2 dogs directly out the patio doors when they need to go outside. The large patio area is spaced far enough apart from my neighbors so that you truly have a nice sense of privacy. Of course you have the balcony above you, but that hasn't been a problem for me.

However, noise can be a problem. I don't hear the people on each side of my unit, but I do hear the neighbor upstairs. Sometimes it bothers me, like when they decide to wash clothes at 1 in the morning or their dog is running back & forth, and I want to sleep. But I just chalk it up as "apartment life" and try to be understanding. Hopefully they are as understanding of me when I make noise.

The staff at Manchester Oaks is terrific, although there has been a lot of turnover since I first moved in. I don't think they pay people enough to keep them for a long time. However, they have always responded to my maintenance requests and are extremely accomodating.

The groundskeeping leaves a lot to be desired and is not always kept up. Lawns are mowed regularly, but the little details such as planting flowers, fixing sidewalks, and cleaning up trash always seem to get missed.

Last year the complex was repainted and the driveways repaved. This has helped improve the appearance a lot.

All in all, I think Manchester Oaks is a great place to live. Lots of amenities, friendly and accomodating staff, and great location. It's a little pricey for the area however, so most people don't stay very long.
