If you like bugs

I have lived in apartments for over twenty years, and this was by far the worst experience I had. I lived in a lower 2 bedroom for six months and it was six months too long. I had bugs everywhere (and I mean earthworms crawling across the carpets). When management was contacted, they sent an "exterminator" out. All he did was walk around the patio. Then we had smaller spiders coming in the doors (so much so that we had to put towels against the doors at night). When we complained again, the "big wigs" of the rental company came out to check. They were actually able to pull up some of the carpeting in the 2nd bedroom and SEE OUTSIDE (there was not insullation of any kind).
When we tried to get out of our lease, we were told that this was not possible. As we continued to complain, the management allowed us to sleep in one of their executive apartments while they "looked at the problems." The bugs became so numerous that every time I walked into the apartment, I felt something was crawling on me. After six months of problems, we were finally let out of our lease.
The bugs were just the start of the problems. WE had an upstairs neighbor who's son constantly used our patio for his play time (including trying to torment our cat) and the neighbor didn't take out her garbage (to the point where garbage was sticking out from underneath the garage door and it smelled in our apartment). When we notified managemant, nothing happened.
Do not....I repeat....do not.....bother to rent here. The craftsmanship of the apartments is horrible and the management really doesn't care as long as you keep paying the rent. Your money is better off somewhere else.
