I wish I would have been told when I signed my lease my apt came WITH pets, mice. When I first moved in & I moved my oven to clean there were mice feces and holes in the walls. The apt when I first moved in was a total mess, all the appliances, the cabinet fronts, and there was standing water in the bathroom. Oh and the doors to the apt didn't have working locks. When I called to complain to the office at first no one offered any assistance. I had to clean the whole apt from top to bottom before I could move anything in.
This apt was advertised as clean, warm & inviting but what I got was cold, unsanitary and almost unliveable. After several complaints finally the office assured me I would be financial compensated for my trouble but when I promptly followed up the office, they refused to give me the name of the owners of the apt complex. The basements are poorly lit and many of the windows in the basement are broken. There are also no thermostats in the apts and all winter long the temperature in my apt was at 85 & I had to keep my windows open all evening until I went to sleep just so I could breathe. This has been an eye opening & traumatic experience. And be careful when you are in the hallways, there is usually dead mice in the halls in the winter.
