I've been a Mission Hills resident for 4 years. In those 4 years, I've met 7 different property managers and numerous maintenance men. Although most of the staff were always nice to me, not much was done in keeping up the appearance of the property, probably because none of the managers had much authority. I was very optimistic when new owners acquired Mission Hills last August. Their plan was to replace all patios and balconies, renovate vacant apartments, paint hallways and laundry rooms, install new siding and roofs, and improve the landscaping, which had been allowed to deteriorate. My patio was removed 8 months ago, in Ocotber of 2007. Some balconies were also removed then. 8 months later, when I ask about the time frame to install my patio, the answer is, "Soon." When my neighbor, who lives in an upper unit and is unable to open her door because she has no balcony, asked about the intallation of balconies, the answer was, "Soon."

On the Axiom Properties website, they talk about the two sparkling clean pools for summer enjoyment. The two sprakling clean pools are always opened on Memorial Day. They weren't this year. This weekend was finally warm enough to use the sparkling clean pools, however when I called to ask about an opening time frame the answer was, "Soon."

The Mission Hills community morale is at an all time low because, although we see and live with constant construction, nothing ever seems to be accomplished. Last Fall, building started on the corner for a new Target and Sendick's shopping center. That mall is almost finsished and slated to open on July 23rd. I noticed the date on a sign. July 23rd. Not "Soon." I believe they'll be open and we'll be shopping and we will still be waiting for our patios and balconies and waiting to use the two sparkling clean pools. It will be "Soon" though!

This year, when we renewed our lease, we were asked to pay for water and trash removal. Those of us with dogs also pay a higher fee for having them. We are paying more for the privilege of having less! Soemthing is wrong with that picture. Perhaps in the distant furutre, Mission Hills will be a very nice place to live, but for now, I would NOT recommend renting here under the current conditions. Maybe "Soon" but not now.

I paid my rent on May 29th. I wasn't thinking. Instead of paying it, I should have said, "Soon."

I have been defending Mission Hills for 4 years now, but I have to agree with this review. The work on the balconies have been very slow, why can't they finish one building then go onto another. I'm going to be very angry if I can't use my balcony all summer, which look's like that is what will happen. My husband is pretty much confined to the apt. and loves to sit out on the balcony. Poor planning. I do have to add tho, that I asked for a job to be fixed on a Thursday and the maintenance came and did it on Friday.

I've lived here for three years and I'm gone in a month. I feel very lucky that our new patio was installed before winter came but I feel for everyone who is still waiting. I know that I love to use ours so I can't imagine what it's like for the people who are upstairs and can't open their door more than 3 inches and for the people who are confined to their apartments. Yesterday they came and cut down ALL of the bushes outside my building.and it looks terrible. I know that they are going to be replaced with something else but I wonder how "Soon" it will be. I've given up on trying to use the pools. One of them you can't swim in unless you are covered in bug spray because it's along a swamp and the other is so packed all day (and there is no shade with the exception of one corner) that there's no point. The pools are a nice ammenity though when you can actually use it (provided it's not green.) Last year the main pool that everyone uses was green for a week because it was broke. Instead of fixing it right away they let people continue to swim in it (adding more chlorine everyday) until no ne could stand the smell anymore. Then it was finally cleaned properly and fixed. I'm going to miss some of the neighbors but I can't say that I'm going to miss the management. I called and asked to have the maintance people come look at my toilet because it was VERY slow to fill and flush. They came the same day to look at it, said they needed to get parts and then never called me back; that was more than a month ago. After I called everyday for a week my husband fixed it on his own but there was no reason that he should have needed to.

The sprakling clean pools for our summer enjoyment, on the Axiom Properties website is pretty much a moot point now. Yesterday I was informed that the sprakling clean pool for our enjoyment on the 7800's site will not be opening. Not even a "soon" on this one! Anon--I too have been defending Mission Hills since I've lived here. I need to stop now and face reality.
