I came in 2004. It is worse each year. I cannot afford to make a move or I would be gone. The parking has been bad for over a year, so don't believe management when they say they did not know. The reason it is so bad is the number of people they are allowing to live in an apartment. In one 2 bedroom {78??) there are 6 adults, each with a car, 1 baby & a child about 11. The same building has 4 cars to another apartment. I think there are only 3 adults in that apartment but one has a car & van. Our lease says 2 parking spaces per 2 bedroom apartment. If they are going to allow so many to an apartment the extras should be parked on the street. Also visitors park right up by the walks & stay sometimes for the whole week end. Management has changed often, but has only gotten worse each time. They NEVER have a clue as to what is going on or they lie about it. If you cannot fix things, don't come here, they will NOT fix anything! Being older, I thought it would great not to have to shovel snow or mow grass. Guess what...here you have to do both! IF they plow at all, it is just to polw you in. They do NOT come back through & plow out the parking spaces after everyone has left for work. You will wade through snow on your sidewalk to get to you car in the morning. If you need to walk a dog...good luck! Even the school kids have to walk in the street to get to the school bus stop because the sidewalks do NOT get cleared. When I see someone move in I want to offer them sympathy. They have no idea how screwed they are.

Believe me, I know what you're going through. I lived at what I not so fondly now call Mission Hells from 2003 to 2006. There was NO renovation going on there, so what you saw was what you got. In '03, things weren't too bad yet, but by '06 when I was fortunate enough to get out, it was bad. I had to sue MH to get my security deposit back (in Small Claims Court). I won, so I do know that there are good landlord/tenant laws in place in Wisconsin ... perhaps looking into that will help you break your lease and get you and your family out of there. You're right about it being in a great location ... that's why I stayed as long as I did. But when I was still there, there wasn't yet a real parking problem (or the scary garage things you mention). It was just a general deterioration of the property and lack of maintenance (as well as the property managers being clueless).
