I couldn't move out of this place fast enough. What's wrong with it, you ask'

Lazy and unconcerned management. Shoddy and sometimes non-existent maintenance. Insufficient parking. Unpredictable and unskilled snow removal and winter safety measures (ice storm, no salt on walkways til two days later...I salted my OWN walkway). Spiders in every corner of entryway and stairs and even in apartments. Ants (oh God, the ants) all summer long in lower apartments. Non-existent insulation (I could hear just about everything my upper neighbors did, including using the toilet AND having sex). No ventilation in bathroom (exhaust fan only blew air out and did not "suck" anything in...entire bathroom ceiling and halfway down the walls was covered with mold...and don't try to shower with the door open so as to let the moisture escape - sets off the smoke alarm every time). Clearly background checks are optional since my next door neighbors were selling drugs. No notice before apartment entry - maintenance let an outside contractor into our apartment while we were in bed sleeping! Not cool! Told by manager it wasn't her problem since it was an outside contractor. That's totally unacceptable.

I will admit, not absolutely everything was horrible. My unit had a nice layout and was quite spacious. These could have been great apartments if that hadn't been constructed so cheaply and been maintained so poorly. A change in management could only be an improvement as current on-site manager seems to care little about anything when it comes to the upkeep, safety, and comfort of this complex.

I would not recommend Bayview Estates to anyone I liked even a little.
