Apartments are quiet if you have great neighbors like I did. However, prepare to not get a full security deposit back. They will find reasons to charge you. I had this happen to me, and have heard it from former tenants (after I had moved in).

Apartments also did not stay warm in winter. Our front door leaked so badly that frost built up on the edges. The carpet looked ancient and could have stood to be replaced. The bedroom windows also got very heavy condensation in the winter. I am not sure if it was just our apartment, but in the summer when it was humid, we had an awful "wet dog smell" in our apartment. We never used our air conditioner because when we turned it on bits of acorns would fly out and we got a bad odor.

The neighborhood felt safe, though, and I could go for walks at night without being worried.

If the management changes, this would be a nice place to live...but until it does, I am not recommending this complex.
