These are very over priced! The apartment is very large, but the garages are very tiny and hard to get a truck in. Also, they allow folks to park out along the edges (even by the fire hydrants!) behind your garage/drive and it is very very hard to back out at times.
Also, the "hot" water is not ever very hot and never hot enough to clean dishes properly in the washer. There is only one AC for the whole place and it is very small and not up to cooling this huge space. This hot summer has been very hot here! Also, the do not provide adequate heat in the winter.
The other person was right about the doors! The cold really comes in around mine!
I'd look elsewhere if I had to do it over again. We will be moving out soon, before it gets cold. Couldn't take another cold winter in these with no heat!
Oh, and they need to replace the light for outside the buildings, most of them on the buildings don't light up.

You are so right about the hazardous way they let folks park here! When I came home today there was a row of cars and a huge truck all parked along totally blocking the fire hydrant! But not only is the "hot" water only lukewarm, the water pressure here is very poor as well. I too am moving before I have to go through another winter being cold with little heat.

Water pressure varies from building to building. Some are fine, some are less so (been in both!), ask when moving in if it is important to you! The doors are very large (unusually generous for apartments) but there can be some leakage at the bottom of the outside door, it is true, in the upper two bedrooms, this has never been a problem. Exterior lights - being energy saving types - sometimes flicker on and off as they get very old and prior to replacement. Have lived at BP twice, I am well aware that if a light is bad, report it - it will be fixed, management is excellent. A/C is a little weak in the big, upper two bedrooms. That said, you cannot get better maintained, larger, apartments in east GB, nor can you get attached garages. Maybe they are tight with a truck but they ARE attached - try to get that, at ANY price, elsewhere in east GB! We have looked at all apartment options in east GB several times and there is, literally, no other apartment complex of this overall quality but, as with all else, you pay for what you get - TANSTAAFL. Let me note, that when we had a weak a/c management replaced it, without a murmur. If you want a two bedroom in east GB for less money, there are several complexes nearby that will fit your budget - remember however that they are not like a substitute home, as BP is - you will have issues with: police visiting dubious/noisy neighbours, issues with sound transmission from apartment to apartment, maintenance issues, no attached garage, smaller units, much smaller kitchens, and less personal security. As, for us, price is less important than a quality rental we even looked at the new condos built back in 2005 - you could rent them as well as buy them. To our intense disapointment even these brand new units, were poorly constructed (the floors flexed when we walked on them in the halls) and did not provide the space that BP does - nor the management track record. Compared to apartments in places as varied as Ann Arbor and Toronto, management is superior and the BP campus is very well maintained, indeed.

pyrrhic...obviously you are either getting paid by brook park or you work there b/c you comment on every single negative review...why not tell the truth once in awhile about how poorly maintained these places really are and how awful the management really is. they regulate at exactly what temp you have your heat at so that you are having to accomidate with other sources for heat...if they didnt want you to have heat above a certain temp then they shouldnt offer to pay for it in the rent. rent is high enough..you should be able to heat your apartment enough so that you arent freezing even in november. PYRRHIC needs to stop getting paid and start writing the truth
