My husband and I lived in Brook Park for 5 years. We only experienced rent increases twice during the whole time we lived there. The only reason why we moved out of our apartment is because we bought a house. The landlords and apartment managers were very kind and courteous, always willing to help. We were victims of the 301 Thanksgiving Day fire and felt very lucky to have such nice landlords and managers. One of the first things they did for us was find us another apartment with Brook Park to live in; they even let us tour them to see what we liked better. They let us store our saved possessions in an apartment garage, helped us get set up with the Red Cross for disaster relief and even gave a stipend for rental furniture until we got back on our feet again. I don't know what we would have done if they would not have helped us so graciously.
Regarding our deposit--we received the WHOLE deposit back. If you clean your apartment and keep it well maintained during your residence you should not have any problems. The bi-annual apartment inspections were in no way intrusive--they were mainly to check for general maintainance and to assist with the air conditioners.
We highly recommend Brook Park for those who are looking to live in well-maintained and quiet apartments.

I can only think that you are one of the managers! This is a far cry from the treatment I received and perhaps this is an FHEO issue. The managers, especially Maureen, are invasive of your privacy and I know that they entered my apartment with out reason or notice on more than one occasion. I have a note from them AFTER I caught them on one such invasion. They run this place like a Stalag and again if your inspection wasn't intrusive, then again this may be an FHEO issue. They went into my refrigerator and into the closets and everywhere. I was surprised that they did not open the drawers of my furniture. I never felt safe there. The apartments themselves are nice, but who wants to live this way? And in a year my rent went up FOUR times. Again, this may be an FHEO issue. I'm glad that you received preferential treatment while you were there. I did not and perhaps the next person will be lucky or perhaps not, but are you really willing to take the chance?

I have been living here for 2 years now and the rent has only gone up once since I've been living here. I also know for a fact that they are NOT intrusive to anyone's apartment. I personlly went in and asked what they look for when they do there inspections. I was told that they open up the refrigerator to check the temperature...I think that's safe to say that there not curious on what type of food you eat. I feel that this place is a very safe place to live and that the management is very nice and helpful. I think for the Green Bay area these apartments are the best chance a person could take!
