I lived at the Brook Park Apartments from April 2007 to August 2008. I am in no way being compensated for this review. I am sharing my experience because I want to.

I sadly had to give my notice to vacate due to economic hardship and the loss of my job. I really wish I still lived there. I have read other's reviews and I am shocked at some of the negative feedback. In my experience living at Brook Park Apartments has been great!

My apartment that I had rented was amazing! It was huge (1400 sq. ft) and had everything I wanted in it. I had searched for apartments for a long time and when I saw this one I immediately took it. It had the attached garage with private entry; 4 huge walk-in closets; dining room area; washer & dryer in unit; 2 bedrooms; 2 baths. It was well maintained and very clean.

In response to some of the negatives...I agree that Brook Park has a very long check list (It took me a week to clean everything) but that is in place to insure the quality of the apartment for future residents. I believe it is necessary. The management does perform 2 inspections per year but that is to check on maintenance, not snoop. BP provides very early notice for when they are going to inspect. (And no, they do not go through your refrigerator...I have witnessed the inspections.) I did receive 1 rent increase in June of 2008. The rent increase was $20. I can see why this was done considering residents don't pay for heat and everyone knows that fuel prices have gone up. I have never personally heard my neighbors or had any problems with any of them. I have 2 small children and felt very safe living there.

As far as Brook Park's management and staff, I believe it is the best I have ever seen. Not only are they friendly and helpful, they are also committed to upholding great quality in BP's apartments. I know that I respect those values in a person and I believe that the owners of Brook Park Apartments should be proud of their staff. I'm going to share a couple of examples on why I believe BP's management is great. Example 1: Maureen stayed very late the night I was filling out my application. She missed her ride and she said she was going to walk home. I offered to give her a ride home. She made a very good first impression by staying late for me. Example 2: BP's staff was very friendly and helpful with the move out arrangements and procedures. I was constantly updated and informed about apartment showings. They are excellent at communicating. Example 3: Maureen made sure I received my security deposit back within a week. And yes, I received all $400 back. I was suprised I received all of it back because one of the windows had cracked by itself. She told me that those windows can do that and didn't charge me. I thought that was amazing because most places probably would have charged their tenants for a cracked window.

So to sum it up, Brook Park Apartments is a great place to live. For those who respond negatively, you probably did something wrong and don't like to own up to your mistakes.
