excellent staff, poor quality housing

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
I've lived at Creekwood for more than 2 years, since I've moved closer to school. First off, their office staff is amazing and very helpful. I could count on them for anything. Their maintanance staff was also superb, within the hour they came for emergencies, rain or shine. I had a two bedroom apartment which was an excellent size for me. I used the second bedroom for storage. The apartment was small for a two bedroom (700 sq. ft), and my extra stuff exceeded the storage room.
The bad things were many. I had a neighbor upstairs of my apartment. Everytime he walked, the ceiling cracked and bended horribly. It was scary because one day i would swear that he was going to fall into my livingroom. The walls there were paper thin, all conversations and noise tranmitted to me. The overall neighborhood noise was loud, this property catered to mainly younger kids who consistently did burnouts in the parking lots. The police were routinly on ground there. I always had a horrible time getting a parking spot. I only had my car and there were new cars in the lot every evening after i'd get home from work or school, leaving me to walk 100yds just to get to my apartment. Creekwood staff never did anything about this, they could have towed the cars, but instead didn't; a reactive staff, not proactive. The construction of the apartments could use some work. My storage room was easily 10-20 degrees cooler than the rest of the apartment in the winter. The maintance staff, in an effort to avoid the problem, simply told me to "close the window in there." It would probably have helped had they actually looked at the problem, they eventually did and estimated it to be nothing unusual despite my guests concerns about the room. Expect the utility bills to be high, in the winter my bill was $150, but then of course i had an uninsulated room. They had on ground laundry facility, but only 3-3 washer/dryer, and they were habitually broken, i just drove to cleaners. I don't know about the pool or exercise room, so no opinion there.
Overall, for the price, this place was moderate. I would recommend anything else to people with higher incomes, this place is best suited for the budgeting crowd. Expect high noise and circumstantial parking.
