Overall our experience was okay. As with most apartments in the area, the construction is cheap, so you can hear people walking upstairs, hear the water running through the pipes when someone flushes the toilet, and things of the like.

John the maintenance guy was always very pleasant and polite and always eager to make the tennants happy.

I found the management to be very unorganized and unprofessional. The "over dressed" manager was very rude and could not be bothered with something as petty as dealing with tennants. The other manager is unprofessional in that she gossips about other tenants...I learned things about my neighbors that they probably wouldnt be too happy knowing that I knew, and other tenants probably found out things about me as well.

BE SURE YOU GET COPIES OF EVERYTHING! They will tell you that you dont need a copy of your move-in checklist but BY LAW you are entitled to one. Go to http://www.datcp.state.wi.us/cp/consumerinfo/cp/factsheets/pdf/cp-127web.pdf
for a PDF booklet on your tenant rights. I would also recommend taking digital pictures of all the damages you come accross when you move in...it is much harder to dispute photos than written descriptions.

The area is overall okay. There are some real dumpy apartments accross the street that the police have been to on several occasions, but overall I felt safe.

All in all I would still probably reccomend this property...just be sure you document everything and don't tell the management anything that you don't want the whole complex knowing about.
