When we signed the lease we thought the place was beautiful, then we moved in.
The heat didn't work, the sink was backed up for two weeks, the toilet leaked all over the bath floor, we were on first floor and the windows didn't lock. All you had to do was pull them open from outside and you could get in. There were a lot of weird neighbors. There were no closet door handles, the carpets were stained with cat urine from previous tenants and it smelled. Then our main bathroom ceiling caved in. The floor would flood nightly and go into the hall, and it got moldy. They never wanted to fix anything. I even left nasty messages on their anwsering machine in the middle of the night when I would get up and the hall carpet would be all wet. After almost two months without them fixing that ceiling, we bailed on our lease, and we ended up owing them for the months left on our lease, and they sued us for the cost of the new carpet, because I couldn't prove I didn't do it. But the last straw really was when I got up to get something to drink at like 2:30 in the morning and my front door was wide open. I personally wouldn't recomend any apts with Blake Mngmt and I know I wasn't the only one there that felt that way.
